1 Then they told5046 David,1732 saying,559 Behold,2009 the Philistines6430 fight3898 against Keilah,7084 and they rob8154 the threshing floors.1637

2 Da fragte7592 David1732 den HErrn3068 und sprach559: Soll ich hingehen und diese Philister6430 schlagen5221? Und der HErr3068 sprach559 zu David1732: Gehe3212 hin3212, du wirst die Philister6430 schlagen5221 und Kegila7084 erretten3467

2 Therefore David1732 inquired7592 of the LORD,3068 saying,559 Shall I go3212 and smite5221 these428 Philistines?6430 And the LORD3068 said559 to David,1732 Go,3212 and smite5221 the Philistines,6430 and save3467 Keilah.7084

3 Aber die Männer bei David1732 sprachen559 zu4634 ihm: Siehe, wir582 fürchten3373 uns hie in Juda3063 und wollen hingehen3212 gen Kegila7084, zu der Philister6430 Zeug?

3 And David's1732 men582 said559 to him, Behold,2009 we be afraid3373 here6311 in Judah:3063 how637 much637 more then3588 if3588 we come3212 to Keilah7084 against413 the armies4634 of the Philistines?6430

4 Da fragte7592 David1732 wieder3254 den HErrn3068; und der HErr3068 antwortete6030 ihm und sprach559: Auf6965, zeuch hinab3381 gen Kegila7084; denn ich will die Philister6430 in deine Hände3027 geben5414.

4 Then David1732 inquired7592 of the LORD3068 yet5750 again.3254 And the LORD3068 answered6030 him and said,559 Arise,6965 go3381 down3381 to Keilah;7084 for I will deliver5414 the Philistines6430 into your hand.3027

5 Also zog3212 David1732 samt seinen Männern582 gen Kegila7084 und stritt3898 wider die Philister6430 und trieb5090 ihnen ihr3427 Vieh4735 weg; und tat eine große1419 Schlacht5221 an ihnen. Also errettete3467 David1732 die zu Kegila7084.

5 So David1732 and his men582 went3212 to Keilah,7084 and fought3898 with the Philistines,6430 and brought5090 away their cattle,4735 and smote5221 them with a great1419 slaughter.4347 So David1732 saved3467 the inhabitants3427 of Keilah.7084

6 Denn da Abjathar54, der Sohn1121 Ahimelechs288, floh1272 zu David1732 gen Kegila7084, trug er den Leibrock646 mit sich3027 hinab3381.

6 And it came1961 to pass, when Abiathar54 the son1121 of Ahimelech288 fled1272 to David1732 to Keilah,7084 that he came3381 down3381 with an ephod646 in his hand.3027

7 Da7586 ward Saul7586 angesagt5046, daß David1732 gen Kegila7084 kommen935 wäre, und sprach559: GOtt430 hat ihn in meine Hände3027 übergeben5234, daß er verschlossen ist935, nun er in eine Stadt5892 kommen ist5462, mit Toren1817 und Riegeln1280 verwahret.

7 And it was told5046 Saul7586 that David1732 was come935 to Keilah.7084 And Saul7586 said,559 God430 has delivered5234 him into my hand;3027 for he is shut5462 in, by entering935 into a town5892 that has gates1817 and bars.1280

8 Und Saul7586 ließ3381 alles Volk5971 rufen8085 zum Streit4421 hinnieder gen Kegila7084, daß sie8085 David1732 und seine Männer582 belegten.
|
8 And Saul7586 called8085 all3605 the people5971 together3162 to war,4421 to go3381 down3381 to Keilah,7084 to besiege6696 David1732 and his men.582

9 Da aber David1732 merkte3045, daß Saul7586 Böses7451 über ihn gedachte2790, sprach559 er zu dem Priester3548 Abjathar54: Lange den Leibrock646 her5066!
|
9 And David1732 knew3045 that Saul7586 secretly2790 practiced2790 mischief7451 against5921 him; and he said559 to Abiathar54 the priest,3548 Bring5066 here5066 the ephod.646

10 Und David1732 sprach559: HErr3068, GOtt430 Israels3478, dein Knecht5650 hat8085 gehöret, daß Saul7586 danach trachte1245, daß er gen Kegila7084 komme935, die Stadt5892 zu8085 verderben7843 um meinetwillen.
|
10 Then said559 David,1732 O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 your servant5650 has certainly heard8085 that Saul7586 seeks1245 to come935 to Keilah,7084 to destroy7843 the city5892 for my sake.5668

11 Werden mich auch die Bürger zu5462 Kegila7084 überantworten in seine Hände3027? Und3068 wird aber Saul7586 herab3381 kommen, wie dein Knecht5650 gehöret hat8085? Das verkündige5046, HErr1167, GOtt430 Israels3478, deinem Knechte5650. Und der HErr3068 sprach559: Er wird herabkommen3381.

11 Will the men1167 of Keilah7084 deliver5462 me up into his hand?3027 will Saul7586 come3381 down,3381 as your servant5650 has heard?8085 O LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 I beseech4994 you, tell5046 your servant.5650 And the LORD3068 said,559 He will come3381 down.3381

12 David1732 sprach559: Werden aber5462 die Bürger zu5462 Kegila7084 mich und3068 meine Männer582 überantworten in die Hände3027 Sauls7586? Der HErr1167 sprach559: Ja.

12 Then said559 David,1732 Will the men1167 of Keilah7084 deliver5462 me and my men582 into the hand3027 of Saul?7586 And the LORD3068 said,559 They will deliver5462 you up.
|
|
13 Da834 machte sich David1732 auf6965 samt seinen Männern582, deren bei sechshundert8337 waren, und zogen1980 aus3318 von3318 Kegila7084 und wandelten, wo sie hin konnten. Da nun Saul7586 angesagt5046 ward1980, daß David1732 von Kegila7084 entronnen4422 war, ließ er376 sein Ausziehen anstehen2308.

13 Then David1732 and his men,582 which were about six8337 hundred,3967 arose6965 and departed3318 out of Keilah,7084 and went1980 wherever834 they could go.1980 And it was told5046 Saul7586 that David1732 was escaped4422 from Keilah;7084 and he declined2308 to go3318 forth.3318

14 David1732 aber blieb3427 in der Wüste4057, in der Burg4679, und3117 blieb3427 auf dem Berge2022 in der Wüste4057 Siph2128. Saul7586 aber suchte1245 ihn sein Leben lang; aber GOtt430 gab5414 ihn nicht in seine Hände3027.

14 And David1732 stayed3427 in the wilderness4057 in strong4679 holds,4679 and remained3427 in a mountain2022 in the wilderness4057 of Ziph.2128 And Saul7586 sought1245 him every3605 day,3117 but God430 delivered5414 him not into his hand.3027

15 Und David1732 sah7200, daß Saul7586 ausgezogen war3318, sein Leben5315 zu suchen1245. Aber David1732 war in der Wüste4057 Siph2128, in der Heide2793.

15 And David1732 saw7200 that Saul7586 was come3318 out to seek1245 his life:5315 and David1732 was in the wilderness4057 of Ziph2128 in a wood.2793

16 Da machte sich Jonathan3083 auf6965, der Sohn1121 Sauls7586, und ging hin3212 zu David1732 in die Heide2793 und stärkte2388 seine Hand3027 in GOtt430;
|
16 And Jonathan3083 Saul's7586 son1121 arose,6965 and went3212 to David1732 into the wood,2793 and strengthened2388 his hand3027 in God.430
|
|
17 und7586 sprach559 zu ihm: Fürchte3372 dich nicht; meines Vaters1 Sauls7586 Hand3027 wird dich nicht finden4672, und du wirst König4427 werden über Israel3478, so will ich der nächste4932 um dich sein; auch weiß3045 solches mein Vater1 wohl.

17 And he said559 to him, Fear3372 not: for the hand3027 of Saul7586 my father1 shall not find4672 you; and you shall be king4427 over5921 Israel,3478 and I shall be next4932 to you; and that also1571 Saul7586 my father1 knows.3045

18 Und sie machten3772 beide8147 einen Bund1285 miteinander vor6440 dem HErrn3068. Und David1732 blieb3427 in der Heide2793, aber Jonathan3083 zog1980 wieder heim1004.
|
18 And they two8147 made3772 a covenant1285 before6440 the LORD:3068 and David1732 stayed3427 in the wood,2793 and Jonathan3083 went1980 to his house.1004
|
|
19 Aber die Siphiter2130 zogen hinauf zu Saul7586 gen Gibea1390 und sprachen559: Ist nicht David1732 bei uns verborgen5641 in der Burg4679, in der Heide2793, auf5927 dem Hügel1389 Hachila2444, der zur Rechten3225 liegt an der Wüste3452?

19 Then came5927 up the Ziphites2130 to Saul7586 to Gibeah,1390 saying,559 Does not David1732 hide5641 himself with us in strong4679 holds4679 in the wood,2793 in the hill1389 of Hachilah,2444 which834 is on the south3225 of Jeshimon?3452

20 So komme3381 nun der König4428 hernieder3381 nach all seines Herzens Begehr185, so wollen wir ihn5315 überantworten5462 in des Königs4428 Hände3027.
|
20 Now6258 therefore, O king,4428 come3381 down3381 according to all3605 the desire183 of your soul5315 to come3381 down;3381 and our part shall be to deliver5462 him into the king's4428 hand.3027
|

21 Da sprach559 Saul7586: Gesegnet1288 seid ihr dem HErrn3068, daß ihr euch mein erbarmet habt2550!
|
21 And Saul7586 said,559 Blessed1288 be you of the LORD;3068 for you have compassion2550 on me.
|
|
22 So gehet nun hin3212 und werdet es noch gewisser, daß ihr3045 wisset und sehet, an7200 welchem Ort4725 seine Füße7272 gewesen sind, und wer ihn daselbst gesehen7200 habe3559; denn mir ist gesagt559, daß er listig6191 ist.

22 Go,3212 I pray4994 you, prepare3559 yet, and know3045 and see7200 his place4725 where834 his haunt7272 is, and who4310 has seen7200 him there:8033 for it is told559 me that he deals very subtly.6191

23 Besehet und erkundet alle Örter, da er sich2244 verkreucht, und kommt wieder7725 zu mir, wenn ihr‘s3045 gewiß3559 seid3426, so will7200 ich mit euch ziehen1980. Ist er im Lande776, so will ich nach ihm forschen2664 unter allen Tausenden505 in Juda3063.

23 See7200 therefore, and take knowledge3045 of all3605 the lurking4224 places where834 8033 he hides2244 himself, and come7725 you again7725 to me with the certainty,3559 and I will go1980 with you: and it shall come1961 to pass, if518 he be in the land,776 that I will search2664 him out throughout all3605 the thousands505 of Judah.3063

24 Da machten sie sich und gingen3212 gen Siph2128 vor6440 Saul7586 hin. David1732 aber und seine Männer582 waren in der Wüste4057 Maon4584, auf6965 dem Gefilde6160 zur Rechten3225 der Wüste3452.

24 And they arose,6965 and went3212 to Ziph2128 before6440 Saul:7586 but David1732 and his men582 were in the wilderness4057 of Maon,4584 in the plain6160 on413 the south3225 of Jeshimon.3452

25 Da310 nun Saul7586 hinzog mit seinen Männern582 zu8085 suchen1245, ward es David1732 angesagt5046; und er machte sich3212 hinab3381 in den Fels5553 und blieb3427 in der Wüste4057 Maon4584. Da das Saul7586 hörete, jagte er David1732 nach7291 in der Wüste4057 Maon4584.

25 Saul7586 also and his men582 went3212 to seek1245 him. And they told5046 David;1732 why he came3381 down3381 into a rock,5553 and stayed3427 in the wilderness4057 of Maon.4584 And when Saul7586 heard8085 that, he pursued7291 after310 David1732 in the wilderness4057 of Maon.4584

26 Und Saul7586 mit seinen Männern582 ging3212 an einer Seite6654 des Berges2022, David1732 mit seinen Männern582 an der andern Seite6654 des Berges2022. Da David1732 aber eilete, dem Saul7586 zu entgehen, da umringete Saul7586 samt seinen Männern David1732 und seine Männer582, daß er3212 sie6440 griffe8610.

26 And Saul7586 went3212 on this2088 side6654 of the mountain,2022 and David1732 and his men582 on that side6654 of the mountain:2022 and David1732 made haste2648 to get3212 away3212 for fear6440 of Saul;7586 for Saul7586 and his men582 compassed5849 David1732 and his men582 round about to take8610 them.

27 Aber es kam935 ein Bote4397 zu Saul7586 und sprach559: Eile4116 und komm3212; denn die Philister6430 sind ins Land776 gefallen6584!

27 But there came935 a messenger4397 to Saul,7586 saying,559 Haste4116 you, and come;3212 for the Philistines6430 have invaded6584 the land.776

28 Da kehrete sich7725 Saul7586 von dem Nachjagen7291 Davids1732 und6430 zog3212 hin den Philistern entgegen7125; daher310 heißt7121 man den Ort4725 Sela-Mahelkoth.
|
28 Why Saul7586 returned7725 from pursuing7291 after310 David,1732 and went3212 against7125 the Philistines:6430 therefore5921 3651 they called that place4725 Selahammahlekoth.5555
